St. Cloud Clearwater RV Park, a family-friendly campground, secured four awards at the 2024 Minnesota’s Best Awards, including gold in the camping category. This recognition, along with accolades for Ringler Family Campground and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, highlights Minnesota’s diverse camping offerings.
Leading the award is St. Cloud Clearwater RV Park, which emerged as a favorite among voters, securing four awards. Minnesota’s New Country reports the park clinched the gold in the camping category. The park also claimed silver awards in three additional categories: Best Family Getaway, Best Group Getaway, and Best Spring Destination.
Another Central Minnesota campground received recognition in the awards. The Ringler Family Campground in Brook Park secured a bronze award in the camping category. Ringler also won bronze awards for Best Hotel and Lodging Customer Service and Best Pet Friendly Hotel/Lodging.
According to its website, St. Cloud Clearwater RV Park offers access to I-94 and Highway 10. A variety of camping options are available to suit different needs, including 30 and 50 amp pull-through full hookup sites, as well as water and 30 amp electric sites without sewer hookup—though a dump station is available on the way out.
For those who prefer a more traditional camping experience, 10 sites with or without 20 amp electric are available, along with unique accommodations such as sleeper cabins, a chalet, a glamping tent, and a rental camper for guests without their own RV.
Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. To protect the local environment and prevent the spread of invasive species, outside firewood is not allowed in the campground.
The campground features a wide range of amenities to enhance the stay. These include clean restrooms and showers, handicap-accessible satellite restrooms with showers, free Wi-Fi, two playgrounds, and a 24×40 heated saltwater pool.
Recreational activities such as shuffleboard, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, GaGa ball, and a pavilion available for group gatherings are also offered.
