According to a press release, the foundation offers financial assistance to students looking to build a career in theand , manufactured housing, or self-storage industries.
may also be awarded to students even though their career goals may not lead them back to those industries, including outstanding scholars or students with compelling needs.
Collegevalued between $500 and $1,250 were granted to nine students last year. The Foundation has awarded more than $383,000 in financial aid to 655 students since 1991.
“The Tim DeWitt HARVEST Education Foundation has given more than 650in its 31 years of existence. Our membership and staff are proud to have helped so many students work toward advanced education at a college, university, or vocational school,” said John Lindley, president and CEO of the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association (MARVAC) and the and Association and the Self-Storage Association of Michigan.
“In offering these, we are introducing students to career opportunities they might not have realized are available in the , , manufactured housing, and self-storage businesses,” said Lindley.
