LARVC Conference Strengthens Industry Ties, Elects 2025 Board

The Louisiana Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (LARVC) launched its Annual State Conference on Sunday, January 26, at Horseshoe Casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The event brought together campground owners, vendors, and industry professionals for networking, education, and strategic discussions.

Attendees kicked off the conference by gathering at Brew Brothers Sports Bar to watch National Football Playoff games and reconnect with peers. Bobby Sorden of App of Community introduced a custom app designed for the event, which remains active for future updates from LARVC.

The official program began on Monday, January 27, with marketing experts Kayla Simon and Kayla Blanchard of Ksquared leading a session on “Marketing Mastermind.”

Mike Harrison of CCR Hospitality also delivered a virtual presentation on revenue management, emphasizing strategies to enhance both top and bottom lines.

A vendor trade show followed, featuring 11 exhibitors and drawing representatives from 11 campgrounds, with 45 attendees. The day concluded with a live auction and a trivia game hosted by Sorden.

On Tuesday, January 28, the conference resumed with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence. The General Membership meeting and 2025 board elections highlighted the agenda.

Greg Domingue of Poche’s RV Park in Breaux Bridge was elected president, with Noah Foulkes of Wildwood Resort in Zwolle as vice president and Geralyn Myers of Myers Landing RV Park in Lake Arthur as secretary/treasurer.

The new board includes members Sean Vidrine (Paradise Ranch/Jellystone Park Lake Charles), Rhonda Louviere (Parkside RV Park), Claire Broussard (Abbeville RV Park), Cheyenne Bertrand (Shady Lakes RV Park), Lee Ann Miracle (Tiger’s Trail RV Resort), and Gabe Ortega (Lakeview Park & Beach).

Kyle Edmiston, CEO of Visit Lake Charles, opened the Tuesday speaker sessions by outlining strategies for working with local Convention and Visitors Bureaus, focusing on occupancy taxes and park regulations.

Lance Bevier of KOA followed with a presentation on financial management for park managers. Riley Wilson of OHI concluded with updates on national initiatives affecting the industry.
