Truma Organizes 3rd Annual Spring Clean-up Event in Elkhart

Truma, a renowned European RV appliance supplier known for its dedication to sustainability, has announced plans for its 3rd Annual Spring Clean-up event in Elkhart, Indiana.

Slated for April 22, the initiative seeks to unite community members and volunteers in cleaning various city parks, ultimately benefiting campgrounds, campers, RVers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

This year, Truma is collaborating with the Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department and the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) to expand the scope of its clean-up efforts, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.

Volunteers will focus on Island Park, Lundquist Park, and the Elkhart River Walk. The event, scheduled from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M., will occur rain or shine, culminating in a picnic luncheon at Island Park.

“We envision the Truma Spring Clean-up as a growing, community-centered initiative. Our team and interest from RV industry partners have expanded over the years. We now invite our Elkhart friends and neighbors to join us in giving back to the community that warmly welcomed us a decade ago,” said Truma CEO Gerhard Hundsberger.

In the past two years, Truma employees have commemorated Earth Day by cleaning the section of Elkhart’s County Road 6 near their North American headquarters.

This year, the company aims to engage more community volunteers and has partnered with the Elkhart Environmental Center to offer educational activities for children during the event.

“As part of the RV community, we strive to protect the great outdoors for our children. Involving them early on presents a valuable opportunity to educate the next generation about sustainability and conservation. We can all contribute to this effort,” said Hundsberger on the importance of preserving the environment for future generations.

The 3rd Annual Spring Clean-up not only benefits the environment but also enhances the experience for campers, RVers, and travelers visiting local parks and campgrounds.

By maintaining clean, well-kept spaces, Truma and its partners promote a more enjoyable and sustainable outdoor experience for all.

Interested businesses or organizations can contact [email protected] for more information. Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate in the clean-up efforts and contribute to a greener Elkhart.
