RV Technical Institute Opens Registration for Level 3 Electrical Workshop

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) has opened registration for its Level 3 Electrical specialty workshop, scheduled from March 4 to March 6.

The three-day training, designed to meet certification requirements for RV technicians, will take place at the institute’s facility in Elkhart, Indiana.

According to a News and Insights Report of RVIA, participants will receive 24.5 hours of intensive training across multiple electrical components and systems.

The curriculum includes generator instruction by Nex-Gen Power Systems, inverter, and battery sessions by Xantrex, and solar power training from Dometic Go Power. Furrion will provide further insights into power distribution, while RVTI will cover surge protection.

To qualify, attendees must already hold a Level 2 certification or higher. Those who fail to meet the requirement will forfeit their registration fee. Enrollment costs $75, with limited availability.

This marks the first workshop in RVTI’s 2025 series, aimed at providing specialty training throughout the year. While only one class per specialty was offered in 2024, RVTI will double the opportunities in 2025 to support technician development.

The RVTI’s Level 3 Electrical workshop meets the required training hours for this specialty area. Participants who complete the course will earn Level 3 Specialty certification in electrical systems.

Technicians who successfully complete all five specialty workshops, including this one, will achieve Level 4 Master Certification, a key credential for advancing technical expertise in the RV industry.

For ongoing learning opportunities, RVTI continues to offer Level 3 courses year-round through its network of authorized supplier training.

Additionally, Lippert Technical Institute will host a training session from March 11 to March 13, at its Mishawaka, Indiana location.
