A massive RV show is scheduled to return to Elkhart (Indiana) this year after a two-year pandemic delay.
As per a report, three of the largest RV manufacturers–Thor Industries, Forest River, and Winnebago Industries confirmed they’ll proceed with the four-day show that starts September 26.
The huge, dealer-only show that allows retailers to see the latest products from RV manufacturers and suppliers was canceled in 2020 and 2021.
According to the RV Industry Association, the majority of RV manufacturers have reported a backlog of orders from dealers despite a record 600,240 RVs produced in 2021.
Beyond RV manufacturers, the show is expected to attract at least 130 suppliers that offer original equipment and RV accessories, said Darryl Searer, the RV/MH (Manufactured Housing) Hall president.
“It’s going to be fantastic because everything has been so pent-up the past two years,” Searer said. “The RV provided the answer that allowed people to get out with their families during the pandemic.”

So, the RV Dealer Show is finally making a comeback in Elkhart after a long two-year break. I can’t help but feel a bit concerned about how they’ll handle the backlog of dealer orders with the record production in 2021. It’s exciting yet nerve-wracking, right?
