Lone Oak Campsites in Northwestern Connecticut has been offering a fun-packed camping experience for over 57 years.
The 250-acre family destination is situated at the foot of Mount Canaan in the Berkshire Foothills. The park can accommodate traditional campers and those who prefer a luxurious camping experience, also known as “glamping”.
All RV campsites come with full-range hookups, which include water, electricity, on-site cable, as well as sewage.
On-site amenities include free Wi-Fi, a laundromat, showers as well as a rental golf cart, and even a full-service RV repair.
Those needing to restock on necessities can head down to Chipmunk Market and Deli, which has everything from firewood, food, and even toys and treats for your kids.
Another not-to-be-missed spot is the Hayloft Lounge, a full-service bar just above the Chipmunk Market. Live music is performed every Saturday night. The facility is available to families for events like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day dances or during Back to School Weekend.
Lone Oak is a must-visit for those wishing to unwind. The park’s water facilities are a great way to relax with its two swimming pools and a hot tub. Campers wishing to relax and cool off can do so in one of the heated pools, and for a more enjoyable experience, hang out by the pool on a Tuesday night where a DJ plays music.
Anyone interested in trying something more adventurous than tent camping or those who don’t own a rig can rent one of Lone Oak’s on-site cabins. The Birches cabin, for example, is a two-room unit that includes a full-sized bed and two bunk beds. It also has a television, a small fridge as well as a coffee maker, and a barbecue grill.
The park also organizes activities and events such as duck races, talent shows, outdoor movies, hiking, bingo, and more.
Lone Oak Campsites is open from April to October. It is located at 360 Norfolk Rd, East Canaan, CT 06024.
