In March 2022, Coach-Net, a company providing RV technical and roadside assistance for 35 years, introduced its Ultimate Roadside Assistance program.
The program is only available through Coach-Net’s dealer partners. It includes enhanced benefits and services to match the growing needs of today’s RVers, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.
A portion of every contract sold for the program will be donated to the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) to add to its scholarship fund.
The scholarship fund allows recipients to continue their RV technical training and provides them with the experience and expertise needed by manufacturers, dealerships, and repair shops nationwide.
Kim Gregory, Coach-Net’s Vice President of Sales, said that Coach-Net and the RVTI share the common goal of educating and certifying RV technicians.
She added that with millions of Americans now RVing, certified RV technicians are in extremely high demand. The partnership with RVTI to provide certification and continuing education programs are fascinating as they support and strengthen the RV industry.
RVTI was created in June 2018 to solve the shortage of trained RV technicians. The Institute works directly with RV manufacturers, suppliers, and leading RV experts to deliver the most up-to-date RV technician training and is the only industry-wide supported path to certification.
The scholarship fund helps new technicians and assists in recruiting more people into the RV technician field. In 2022, the institute recruited over 1,200 people from the RV technician field outside the RV industry.
RVTI Executive Director Curt Hemmeler praised Coach-Net’s commitment to training and certification of RV technicians, stating that it benefits the entire RV industry.
He added that Coach-Net had prioritized the training and certification of their technicians. Through their support of the scholarships, even more, RV technicians have received RVTI’s gold-standard tech training.
Coach-Net and over 200 of their dealership partners who sell the Ultimate program were able to provide full Institute scholarships to 35 deserving individuals in 2022.
