Campspot has announced the winners of its 2026 Campspot Awards, recognizing top-performing private campgrounds across the United States and Canada. The announcement was made on February 10, 2026, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, marking the fifth year of the awards program.
The annual initiative highlights parks operating on the Campspot marketplace that demonstrate strong performance across guest experience, operations, and marketplace readiness.
According to Campspot, the 2026 winners were selected following an analysis of more than 3.3 million data points. These included guest ratings and reviews, reservation performance, park features and amenities, the quality and completeness of Campspot Marketplace listing pages, and criteria specific to each award category.
The company stated that the methodology is designed to identify parks that consistently perform well rather than those experiencing short-term spikes in demand.

“The Campspot Awards recognize the campgrounds that are consistently getting the fundamentals right, and then going beyond them,” said Jeff Bettin, General Manager of Marketplace at Campspot. “These parks show what it looks like to combine a great guest experience with strong execution: thoughtful amenities, intentional programming, and an exceptional on-site experience.”
This year’s award recipients reflect broader shifts in traveler behavior and expectations heading into the 2026 camping season. Campspot cited recent internal research indicating that many travelers are prioritizing reconnection and shared experiences in their travel planning.
Several of the recognized parks offer structured programming, communal amenities, and resort-style features designed to encourage longer stays and repeat visitation.

The top overall campground in the United States was Camp Fimfo – Texas Hill Country in New Braunfels, Texas, while Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores in Port Colborne, Ontario, was named the top campground in Canada.
Category-specific leaders included Verde Ranch RV Resort in Arizona as the top RV campground and Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay in Delaware as the top glamping campground.
Additional honors were awarded to Brialee Family Campground in Connecticut for unique offerings and Jellystone Park™ Caledonia in Wisconsin for family-focused experiences. Campspot also recognized parks across size-based and use-based categories, including tent camping, long-term camping, and public campgrounds.

Campspot stated that award winners will be promoted throughout the 2026 season across its marketplace and marketing channels, increasing their visibility to campers searching and booking through the platform.
For campground owners, RV resort operators, and glamping professionals, the awards provide insight into performance benchmarks that extend beyond occupancy. The emphasis on listing quality, guest feedback, and amenity mix underscores the growing role of digital merchandising and experience design in driving demand.
As booking platforms continue to influence traveler decision-making, the results offer a data-backed snapshot of what is resonating with today’s campers and how operational details translate into measurable marketplace performance. For more information about the 2026 Campspot Awards and a complete list of winners, visit software.campspot.com.
