Yucaipa Regional Park Combines Comfort and Adventure with Diverse Camping Options

Yucaipa Regional Park, located at Oak Glen Road in Yucaipa, California, provides a wide array of outdoor activities and amenities for visitors of all ages. Situated near Oak Glen, Redlands, and local mountain communities, the park operates daily from 7:30 a.m. to sunset, offering scenic landscapes, recreational opportunities, and facilities for gatherings.

The park is home to three lakes that support year-round fishing, with trout stocked from November to April and catfish from May to September. Fishing activities require a valid California state license, and workshops and derbies are held throughout the year.

Camping options include 42 full hookup sites, nine group tent sites, and facilities for large groups, making it an ideal location for extended stays. Amenities for campers include a dump station, hot showers, ADA-accessible restrooms, grills, and fire rings. The park accommodates both RV and tent camping, catering to a variety of visitor needs.

Picnic shelters and open tables are also available throughout the park, providing spaces for family outings and events. Large group shelters can accommodate up to 350 people and include built-in grills and running water. For larger events, an Interim Use Permit may be required, with rental fees determined by event type and space needs.

During the summer season, Yucaipa Regional Park offers a one-half-acre swimming lagoon with a sandy beach and dual-flume water slides. These attractions operate between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends and provide lifeguard-supervised water recreation for visitors. Children must meet a height requirement of 48 inches to use the water slides.

Although the swim season has concluded for 2024, visitors can plan ahead for its reopening in May 2025. The park’s swim lagoon and water slides are highlights of the summer months, drawing families seeking relief from the heat.

The park’s pedal boats are also a popular feature, allowing visitors to enjoy the lakes from the water. Rentals are weather-dependent and enhance the park’s water recreation offerings.

Playgrounds at the park provide safe and clean spaces for children and families, fostering social interaction and outdoor play. These areas are designed to encourage physical activity and community engagement among young visitors.

For those seeking recreational sports, the park includes a horseshoe pit and a disc golf course, catering to a variety of interests. These activities promote friendly competition and offer additional entertainment options for families and groups.

Yucaipa Regional Park has become a popular destination for both local residents and visitors due to its diverse offerings and accessibility. Its proximity to nearby communities and mountain areas makes it a convenient location for day trips and extended stays.
