Pebble, a California-based startup behind the all-electric RV trailer Pebble Flow, has officially opened its new 60,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Fremont, California.
According to a press release, this development marks a “significant milestone in Pebble’s journey to define a new way to live, work and explore from anywhere.”
The Pebble Flow, designed to offer a new RVing experience, is powered by a 45 kWh lithium-ion battery, and developed by industry veterans from companies like Apple, Tesla, and SpaceX.
The Pebble Flow, powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin platform, also offers advanced automation features such as the Dual-Motor Active Tow Assist System, Magic Hitch, and Remote Control, simplifying RVing to the ease of using an iPhone.
Overseeing operations at the new facility is Greg Zanghi, Pebble’s head of manufacturing and service operations. Zanghi, who brings experience from Tesla, Ducati, and Zoox, emphasized the importance of the new Fremont location.
“Opening our combined headquarters, R&D, and manufacturing facility in Fremont is a huge step forward in bringing the Pebble Flow to market. It gives us room to grow, attract top talent, and execute on our vision. We are excited to put down roots in the Bay Area, the heart of advanced technology development,” Zanghi stated.
The new Fremont facility is expected to create up to 100 high-tech jobs in clean energy, spanning engineering, production, operations, and quality assurance within the first year.
The Pebble Flow, which has a starting price of $109,000 before potential tax credits, is now available for preorder with a $500 fully refundable deposit.
