For owners, operators, team members, and anyone else interested in camping, glamping, or the RV industry.

CampCalNOW Renames as California Outdoor Hospitality Association

Beginning August, CampCalNOW RV Park and Campground Alliance will be known as the California Outdoor Hospitality Association, according to the association’s president and CEO, Dyana Kelley.

“We think this change will better reflect the full scope of our government affairs, education and marketing efforts on behalf of the ever-expanding outdoor hospitality industry, which now includes everything from campgrounds and glamping resorts to RV parks and resorts,” Kelley noted in a press release. She is also a board member of the California Travel Association (CalTravel).

California’s outdoor hospitality industry not only benefits from the association advocating on its behalf at state, federal, and local levels, but also, the association regularly organizes educational seminars to help park operators keep up with changing regulations as well as the best park improvement, management, and guest relations practices in the country.

“Our association is a ‘go-to’ resource for both public and independently owned campgrounds, glamping resorts, RV parks, and resorts in California,” Kelley said.

Furthermore, it hosts one of the largest online listings of privately owned campgrounds in California, which it markets through Camp-California.com, the statewide travel planning website. More than 1,500 parks are listed on the website, many of which of family-owned and operated.

The association is also increasingly representing glamping resorts, which feature furnished glamping tents, furnished Airstream trailers, and other unique accommodations, which are becoming increasingly popular in California and across the country.

“We’re actually having discussions with the American Glamping Association on ways for their members to gain access to the services and benefits of our association,” Kelley said.

The association representing California’s campgrounds, RV parks, and resorts has been around for nearly 50 years. Initially called the California Travel Parks Association, it later changed its name to the California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds before changing to CampCalNow RV Park and Campground Alliance in 2019.
