Eclipse Over Coler is set to take place at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve on Monday, April 8, offering a unique opportunity to witness a celestial spectacle in the picturesque Ozark Valley, according to Peel Compton Foundation’s website.
This event is designed to provide an immersive experience in one of northwest Arkansas’ most captivating natural settings. Attendees will be provided with solar viewers to safely observe the eclipse, and all visitors will receive a commemorative Eclipse Over Coler sticker, enhancing the memorability of the occasion.
With 16 hike-in sites, 5 camper van sites, and 1 ADA-compliant site, the campground and camping at Coler cater to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts. The facilities are designed to enhance the camping experience, featuring modern restrooms with hot indoor showers, a bike wash and repair station, and outdoor showers, among other amenities.
Parking is organized to accommodate attendees efficiently, with spaces allocated across three designated lots: Northgate, Southgate, and Coler Grove. Additionally, campers are afforded the convenience of assigned parking spots at the campground, which is situated a short distance from the eclipse viewing site, ensuring easy access for all.
Recreational opportunities abound with over 19 miles of trails accessible from the campground, promoting exploration and adventure. Amenities such as a water bottle refill station, dishwashing sink, e-bike charging station, and bear-proof trash cans ensure convenience and safety. In addition, the campground offers wagons for transporting cargo, a community fire pit, a water spigot, dispersed hammock stands, and firewood for purchase, further enriching the camping experience.
The proximity to Airship Coffee provides an added convenience, allowing campers and eclipse viewers to enjoy high-quality coffee within walking distance from the campground and event site.
