Aqua-Hot, an AIRXCEL brand, launched an all-female Level 1 RV technician training in collaboration with the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) and the RV Technical Institute (RVTI). The class is held from April 15 to April 19 at Aqua-Hot’s facilities in Frederick, Colorado.
The training session, spanning five days, aims to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge of the seven critical RV systems. These systems include propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator, and chassis. Successful completion of the course will enable the participants to perform pre-delivery inspections of RVs, ensuring readiness and safety for customers.
During the event, the attendees are also being given an exclusive tour of the Aqua-Hot manufacturing facility. This tour is designed to provide a deeper insight into the production processes and intricate workings of RV heating systems that Aqua-Hot specializes in.
We are excited to be hosting this RVWA training session, demonstrating our dedication to empowering female RV technicians and workers in the RV industry. This training marks a significant milestone in promoting diversity and inclusivity within the RV industry, and we are honored to play a role in this impactful initiative,” Selma Salihagic, general manager of Aqua-Hot, said in a press release.
The training accommodates a small group of 12 participants to ensure a focused and interactive learning environment. Each participant has paid a fee of $600 to cover the cost of the intensive training.
“We are thrilled that Aqua-Hot is hosting our all-female tech class, showing their commitment to fostering diversity and empowering women in the RV Industry. We firmly believe this initiative will pave the way and inspire more women to explore this exciting field,” RVWA President Susan Carpenter said.
The RVWA, since its inception in 2019, has been active in promoting and supporting the roles of women within the RV industry. With over 1,200 members representing more than 500 companies, the alliance aims to create educational and growth opportunities for women across the industry.
