According to its Facebook page, EcoCamp Patagonia offers sustainable dome-style accommodation, wildlife, and hiking tours.
Opened in 2001, EcoCamp is the region’s first fully sustainable accommodation south of the Amazon and the world’s first geodesic hotel room.
Four types of domes are available at EcoCamp, Standard, Superior, Suite, and Suite Dome Loft.
The Standard Dome is a compact 10m²/108ft² dome featuring a large warm bed. It has skylights, which allow guests to gaze at the stars as they fall asleep.
Standard Domes are the perfect home to return to after a day’s trek.
Superior Domes are perfect for people looking for a more spacious and comfortable place to stay after a long day’s hike!
Superior Domes has heating, a private bathroom, and a more spacious interior.
Each Superior Dome has comfortable queen-size or twin beds, a propane heater, and a private bathroom with a sophisticated composting toilet. Electricity is limited inside the domes, meaning hairdryers are not permitted, but laptops and cameras can be charged.
For a more luxurious feel, the Suite Dome features a cozy double bed or twin beds, a private bathroom with hot water and a state-of-the-art composting toilet, a modern low-emission wood stove, and a safe box for valuables and locally-made decorations.
Perfect for families and big groups, the Suite Dome Loft has a private terrace and a private bathroom with a state-of-the-art composting toilet.
EcoCamp is committed to providing sustainable tourism through its efforts, including the use of renewable energy, low-impact design and infrastructure, and other unique, sustainable practices.
