Alaska Campground Owners Association Releases 2023 Alaska RV & Camping Guide

Efforts to promote camping in Alaska have stepped up in recent weeks with the publication of the 2023 Alaska RV & Camping Guide, which is being distributed at RV shows across North America.

The guide has already been distributed at the Tampa SuperShow in Florida, the largest consumer RV show in the country.

The Alaska Campground Owners Association (ACOA) has hired Pittsford, N.Y.-based Anderson’s Brochure Distribution Service to disseminate the guide at 25 camping and RV shows across the country.

“The guides are also distributed through multiple Alaskan Visitor Centers, CVBs, and Chamber of commerce locations. We carry the guides at many of our member parks; and many members distribute them during their winter travels through Canada, Arizona, California, and Florida,” said Shannon Miller, ACOA’s executive director, adding that the association printed 20,000 copies of the 2023 guide.

Miller said the guide is also generating interest from travelers overseas. She credited Crowley, Texas-based AGS, and Texas Advertising for their efforts to design and produce the guide on behalf of ACOA.

“We have been positively impacted by AGS/TXAD’s involvement with our guide’s production and continue to see encouraging growth every year,” she said. “We value and appreciate our business relationship with them!”

The guide is printed on durable paper but folds out like a map. It features listings of 36 campgrounds and RV parks in nine different regions of Alaska, including Anchorage; the Northern Region, which includes North Pole, a city near Fairbanks; the Denali Region, the Matanuska Susitana Valley; the Tok Cutoff – Taylor Highway Region; the South Richardson Highway Region; the Kenai / Soldotna Peninsula Region; and the Southeast Region, which includes Haines and Juneau.

The guide also includes maps of several regions of Alaska and Canada’s Yukon Territory as well as advertisements for several campground resorts and companies that provide halibut and salmon fishing tours as well as jeep tours on the scenic Denali Highway.

The guide also includes a special section that includes listings of convention and visitors bureaus and chambers of commerce.

The guide can be ordered through https://www.alaskacampgrounds.net/, which also provides a searchable database of campgrounds across the state.
