Peachley Caravan Park Proposes 32 New Pitches Expansion Near Worcester

Peachley Caravan and Camping Park, a popular vacation spot located on the edge of Lower Broadheath near Worcester, United Kingdom, has submitted a proposal to expand the park by adding 32 new pitches, according to a report by Worcester News.

According to a statement included with the application, the park is already at capacity. The proposed expansion would occupy just under one hectare, currently in agricultural use, immediately adjacent to the existing site and between it and the on-site leisure fishing lakes to the east.

The park, owned and managed by Roger Pugh, has seen a significant increase in demand for caravan vacations due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent surge in “staycations” as people opt to take vacations closer to home and avoid international travel.

The park’s infrastructure, including ablution and waste facilities, mains drainage, a reception building, a parking area, secure caravan storage compounds, a café, and electricity, are already in place, which would allow for an easy and efficient expansion.

Furthermore, the Peachley Leisure site offers a wide variety of activities, including fishing, a games area, and quad trekking, making it a self-contained vacation spot and an attractive option for families looking for a fun, safe, and secure vacation.

The proposal also includes plans to build a one-and-a-half-story house and a two-story house on the farm site, in addition to a new work unit approved last year. This would bring more employment opportunities to the area and will definitely help the region’s overall development.

The application for the expansion has garnered much interest from the local community, and residents and other interested parties can provide feedback on the proposal by visiting the Malvern Hills District Council’s website.

The consultation period ends on January 30, and the council encourages all interested parties to look at the proposal and provide their valuable feedback.

If the proposal is approved, the expansion is expected to create more jobs, stimulate economic growth in the area, and provide more options for travelers looking for a great vacation spot.
