Hipcamp’s UK iOS App Launch: Transforming Outdoor Stays and Supporting Campgrounds

Today marks the launch of Hipcamp’s native iOS app in the United Kingdom, a platform aiming to transform the way outdoor enthusiasts explore and experience unique camping opportunities.

Boasting community-sourced descriptions, photos, and reviews for over 25,000 tent camping, glamping, and campervan sites across the UK, Hipcamp seeks to be a comprehensive resource for those pursuing one-of-a-kind stays.

The platform has already gained traction with over 525,000 stays across Europe, North America, and Australia.

Hipcamp CEO Alyssa Ravasio highlights the importance of the new app by saying, “Camping, by its very nature, is an on-the-go experience. We’ve been working hard to get these apps out into the world, and we’re delighted to make it easier for Brits to find and book their perfect outdoor stay, while inspiring a new love of nature.”

The new iOS app offers users a diverse range of outdoor experiences, all curated by commercial campgrounds and local landowners throughout the UK.

From the picturesque waterfront tent camping pitches in Wales to the cozy glamping yurts of Scotland, or even the unique campervan stays on East Sussex llama farms, Hipcamp ensures a personalized, unforgettable experience for every adventurer.

A key feature of the Hipcamp app is its robust filtering system, designed to accommodate every traveler’s needs.

Users can search for stays based on various criteria, such as price, group size, structure type, pet-friendliness, and amenities, among others.

Additionally, the app enables users to filter results based on favorite activities, including hiking, fishing, and surfing.

To support users in choosing the best possible destination, the app provides detailed campsite information compiled from community-sourced photos, reviews, recommendations, and campsite specifics.

This wealth of information ensures campers have the necessary data to make well-informed decisions about their outdoor getaways.

Moreover, the Hipcamp app consolidates all past and upcoming trips in one accessible location, displaying essential information such as directions, host contact details, and rules for a stay.

Users can also take advantage of the in-app messaging feature to communicate with hosts directly.

The launch of Hipcamp’s iOS app in the UK benefits private campground owners and operators in the vicinity by increasing their businesses’ exposure and connecting them with a broader audience of outdoor enthusiasts.

The app’s community-driven model fosters cooperation among campground operators, empowering them to create exceptional experiences for their guests.

With tent pitches starting at just £10 a night and the app being free to use, Hipcamp offers an affordable means for travelers to explore the UK’s diverse and enchanting outdoor offerings.
