Helensburgh and Lomond Businesses Shortlisted for Scottish Hospitality Awards

Tourism and hospitality businesses in the Helensburgh and Lomond area have been shortlisted across multiple categories in the ninth annual Scottish Hospitality Awards, an event that recognizes performance across Scotland’s hospitality sector.

The shortlist includes a mix of caravan parks, hotels, attractions, and dining venues, reflecting the diversity of the region’s tourism offering.

Among the finalists, Rosneath Castle Caravan Park has been nominated in both the Best Caravan Park and Best Holiday Park categories. Lomond Woods Holiday Park in Balloch is also competing in the Best Holiday Park category, placing two accommodation providers from the area in direct competition for the same title.

Ardardan Estate in Cardross has been shortlisted in the Visitor Day Attraction of the Year category, highlighting the role of farm-based retail and agritourism experiences in attracting visitors.

In the hotel sector, Knockderry Country House Hotel in Helensburgh is a finalist for Boutique Hotel of the Year, while Rosslea Hall Hotel has been recognized in the Rural Retreat of the Year category, according to Helensburgh Advertiser.

Additional nominations include Lodge on Loch Lomond in the Spa Retreat of the Year category and Cameron House in the Resort Hotel of the Year category. The Cruin, a Loch Lomond-based hotel and restaurant, has been shortlisted for Outdoor Event Venue of the Year, reflecting demand for event-driven tourism offerings.

The Scottish Hospitality Awards aim to recognize businesses and individuals across a range of categories, including accommodations, food and beverage, wellness, and visitor attractions.

The winners will be announced at a gala event scheduled for June 17 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow, where judges will determine category winners and highly recommended finalists.

For operators in the outdoor hospitality, caravan, and glamping sectors, the presence of multiple park and hybrid tourism businesses among the finalists signals continued interest in experiential and nature-based accommodations.

Recognition at regional or national award programs can influence booking demand, strengthen brand positioning, and support marketing efforts, particularly for independent operators competing with larger hospitality groups.

The shortlist also reflects a broader trend toward diversified revenue streams, with businesses combining lodging, food service, retail, and event offerings.

For industry professionals, these nominations provide insight into how integrated guest experiences and location-based assets can contribute to competitive differentiation within the hospitality market.
