Deerstone Glamping, a luxury site in Earby, completed its first full tourist season this year, showcasing full bookings throughout the summer and up until December.
The site, owned by Karin and Chris Greenwood, is the first in the UK to feature see-through domes, which have become a unique attraction for visitors seeking unique experiences in East Lancashire.
Karin, originally from Estonia, described the year as “magical” and beyond expectations, with demand surpassing their initial projections. “We’ve been fully booked throughout the summer, and we’re now fully booked up until December,” she said. The bookings even extended into the new year due to an unintentional oversight in closing the reservation calendar.
Inspired by Scandinavian design, the glamping site combines natural landscapes with innovative structures. Greenwood envisioned the domes as modern igloos.
A 4.89-star guest rating underscores the site’s success, with 100% of visitors recommending the location. According to Greenwood, the domes’ uniqueness has been a significant factor in their popularity. “There is nothing like the domes we have here in the rest of the UK,” she stated, as reported by Lancashire Telegraph.
According to its website, Deerstone Glamping offers a one-of-a-kind experience with six unique domes designed for families, couples, and even pets. Whether planning a full-site booking, a private family gathering, or a retreat, the domes provide an escape for guests. Each dome is equipped with a double bed, bunk bed or single beds, and all the essentials to ensure comfort and convenience.
