FAITA-FederCamping is set to host the first-ever Open Air Forum 2024 in Rome, Italy, on October 28 and 29. The event will feature sessions, training, and the exchange of ideas. Additionally, the Federation’s annual National Assembly will be held.
Entrepreneurs, collaborators, employees, companies in the supply chain, and all stakeholders of the sector will meet to compare and discuss the open-air sector, the supply, and demand of the second most popular holiday mode for Italians.
According to a press release, the open-air sector is “evolving, dynamic, and expanding.” The Forum Open Air will provide an opportunity to give authority to the sector and allow professionals to exchange ideas, experiences, and solutions, actively contributing to the sustainable and innovative growth of companies in the industry.
Among the topics to be discussed are investments, sustainability, new trends, and markets. Other highlights include the training initiatives and the presence of leading partner companies in the supply of products and services for the open-air sector.
On October 28, participants can attend the opening works and the Federal Assembly, which is open to all entrepreneurs. Additionally, there will be an institutional meeting for companies on October 29.
In Italy, more than 2,600 open-air companies provide guests with a total capacity of over 1.3 million beds and employ about 150,000 individuals, both direct and indirect, generating a turnover of about €5.2 billion annually. Open-air tourism is the second most popular holiday choice after hotels.
Established in the 1950s, FAITA-FederCamping has played a role in the growth and development of the sector and businesses for over 70 years, representing and protecting the interests and rights of open-air tourist accommodation companies.
The Federation is organized through 18 regional associations, representing the majority of the over 2,650 companies in the Italian open-air sector.
