Transylvanie Habitat to Present Timber Chalets at SETT 2026

Transylvanie Habitat will present its Mini Duplex and Trilogie timber chalet models at SETT, a trade show for outdoor hospitality professionals scheduled for November 3–5, 2026, in Montpellier, France. The company’s accommodation designs target campground, glamping resort, and holiday park operators seeking to add lodging capacity while making use of limited site space.

The Mini Duplex is a two-story chalet made from glued laminated timber, with two bedrooms on the upper floor. The structure occupies a footprint of 27 square meters, excluding the terrace, and provides approximately 45 square meters of interior space. It also includes a 19.30-square-meter terrace with a pergola, extending the usable guest area beyond the building itself.

The company also offers the Trilogie model, which adds a third bedroom on the ground floor and features an upstairs terrace. The additional bedroom gives operators another accommodation configuration to consider when planning for families or groups, while the two-story layout allows them to provide more interior space without relying entirely on a larger ground-level footprint.

Transylvanie Habitat specializes in glued laminated timber chalets for business-to-business customers in the outdoor tourism sector. According to the company, it has more than 12 years of experience designing these structures, which are intended for campgrounds and residential leisure parks in France and other markets.

Its product range includes chalet models with interior areas from 20 to 50 square meters and sleeping capacities ranging from two to 10 people. The company also offers models designed for people with reduced mobility, utility modules for functions such as reception, retail, and bar services, and housing for campground employees. These options allow operators to consider timber structures for guest accommodations as well as supporting facilities.

The company describes its chalets as suitable for year-round operation, citing insulation designed for four-season use. It also reports that its structures have been installed in mountainous locations at altitudes of up to 1,300 meters. The chalets are covered by France’s 10-year structural warranty, known as the garantie décennale, according to the company.

For campground and glamping operators, the combination of accommodation capacity, insulation, and different floor plans may be relevant when evaluating how to expand a property or diversify its lodging mix. Multi-bedroom units can serve guest groups that require more space than a conventional camping pitch or a smaller accommodation unit provides. However, operators would need to assess construction costs, installation requirements, maintenance, local planning rules, and expected occupancy before determining whether a chalet investment would improve a property’s financial performance.

Transylvanie Habitat states that its chalets can increase revenue per available plot, or RevPAR, by 20% to 40% compared with a traditional mobile home. The company presents this as a measure of potential operating performance, but the supplied materials do not detail the underlying data, comparison period, occupancy assumptions, or operating costs used to calculate the figure. As a result, campground owners would need additional information to determine whether similar results could be achieved at their properties.

The company’s range also includes customized designs, which it says are exclusive to its business and based on plans filed with France’s National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). Operators considering bespoke accommodation would need to clarify design rights, specifications, delivery arrangements, and any site-specific requirements as part of the procurement process.

Transylvanie Habitat will exhibit at SETT in Hall A4, Aisle A, Stand 39, during the November 3–5 event in Montpellier. The trade show provides an opportunity for campground, glamping, and holiday park professionals to review the company’s chalet configurations and discuss their potential applications in outdoor accommodation projects.
