Dutch caravan builder Lume Traveler has taken the LT540 and designed it to be more suited for cold weather camping, creating a convertible caravan for four seasons, a report said.
The brand-new LT540 Nordic pivots the kitchen inside and lets you enjoy your holidays in comfort amid frigid fjords, snow-covered forests, and high-elevation slopeside RV resorts.
The appearance resembles the hybrid between an Airstream and a horse trailer. The Lume Traveler’s campers belong to the many stylish, contemporary European caravans that leave an immediate impression on visitors from afar.
The impression is amplified when entering a cabin, in which cozy leathers and soft felts surround campers. They can also enjoy a panoramic view from the power-retractable soft-top above the super queen bed.
Lume reaches out to winter campers and indoor chefs by eliminating the galley for the tailgate and moving the kitchen inside.
The Nordic kitchen is spread across the middle aisle, featuring a PITT gas stove with a triple-burner beneath an extractor hood lit by LED. The sink also has an integrated tap along with a stainless-steel-faced Dometic CRX 65DS refrigerator/freezer on the other side. The stainless steel countertop comes with an extension that can be used for additional workspace.
Since Lume expands its 71-by-79-in (180 x 200-cm) beds back to the spot used by the tailgate galley, it can be added to the kitchen area without any change to the existing layout.
The toilet is located between the sink in the kitchen and the front lounge and has its own sink and Dometic toilet. The shower is outside like the standard LT540, supplied by a Truma Combi water heater/furnace.
On the front, the Nordic features an ordinary sofa lounge and dual-bench dining that comes with an option to convert into a bed.
It’s interesting to note that the Nordic is still equipped with Lume’s signature electric retractable soft-top so campers can let the snowfall in, or bundle up and enjoy the sunset change to a clear night sky.
Soft-top insulation and the Truma Combi prevent the interior from becoming too cold.
The LT540 Nordic includes a complete electrical system that consists of a 100-Ah lithium battery with an array of solar panels (330-watts), 1,600-W Victron charger/inverter, Victron battery monitor, as well as a Honda generator.
The standard features package also includes an exterior awning, 4+1 Bluetooth audio system, LED lighting throughout, teak flooring, and leather felt and bare metal trim.
