RoadTrek To Develop SumoSprings Suspensions On Class B Motorhomes

One of Canada’s premiere motorhome builders, Roadtrek, has partnered with suspension expert SuperSprings International (SSI) to make SumoSprings standard components on its Class B lineup.

In keeping with Roadtrek’s commitment to building quality motorhomes with the best components available, it has decided to make SumoSprings rear suspension a standard equipment component on vans built on the popular RAM ProMaster chassis after successfully offering it as an optional upgrade for over a year.

The current models are Play, Play SRT, Play Slumber, Chase, Zion, Zion Slumber, Pivot, Pivot Slumber, and Zion SRT. These models will be fitted with the well-known yellow SumoSprings rear suspension upgrade, according to a report.

“During the past year, Roadtrek made available SumoSprings as an option on ProMaster models. Since that time, we have experienced very positive feedback regarding the suspension benefits when using SumoSprings,” Len McDougall, head of sales for Roadtrek, said.

“That positive feedback has prompted Roadtrek to now include SumoSprings as standard equipment on ProMaster models for the 2023 year.”

SumoSprings for the RAM ProMaster is SSI’s number one selling product, and for good reason. With the growth of van builds over recent years, especially on the ProMaster chassis, there has been a growing demand to create a better driving experience without having to sacrifice build quality and weight.

The SumoSprings suspension upgrade has become the go-to solution because of the load-leveling capacity, ease of installation, and vibration reduction. Additionally, these components are maintenance-free, USA-made, and come with a lifetime warranty.

“SSI continues to expand on our already dominant reach in the motorized RV segment. When we first partnered with Roadtrek, they asked to test the waters with our SumoSprings as an option. Early on, they found that nearly every customer was opting to upgrade to our maintenance-free suspension enhancement to make their journey better,” said SuperSprings International President Adam Weisner.

“Our ProMaster upgrade has become an industry standard, and we see that with OEMs and in the aftermarket as well. We’re very excited for Roadtrek to build on this partnership and offer SumoSprings as standard equipment.”
