Tomorrow (March 1), the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (Ontario, Canada) will launch online reservations for Charlottenburgh Park campground, one of RRCA’s three Conservation Areas.
As per a report, the popular campground that welcomed nearly 25,000 visitors last year is located along the St. Lawrence River near Summerstown, just a few kilometers east of Cornwall.
The facility features a boat launch, a beach and nature trails, a campground, and more.
The area is surrounded by forests and wildlife. Un-serviced and serviced campgrounds provide campers with the chance to relax and reconnect to the natural world.
“We look forward to welcoming campers and day-use visitors when the Park opens for the Victoria Day weekend in May,” said RRCA Administrative Assistant Josianne Sabourin, who looks after the park’s administration. We encourage campers to book their sites early, as we are expecting another busy camping season this summer.
Returning campers will see improvements made by the RRCA, like the addition of electric and water service to several lots. Through the winter, RRCA staff updated the online booking system to a modern, user-friendly interface that will be accessible on its website at rrca.on.ca.
Weekend, daily, and monthly campsites can be reserved online. Seasonal campsites have already been booked for 2022.

Charlottenburgh Park features a diverse environment that includes a variety of ecosystems. These include white pine and spruce plantations, a mixed hardwood forest, and Class 2 provincially Significant Wetlands. The park’s trail system is open all year without cost.
