Canadian Gov’t to Announce Support for LGBTQ2+ Tourism in Southern Ontario

On Monday, June 27, 2022, the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Honourable Helena Jaczek, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), will be making an important announcement in Toronto, supporting LGBTQ2+ tourism across southern Ontario. 

According to an advisory, Minister Boissonnault will be joined by the Honourable Marci Ien, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth and Member of Parliament for Toronto Centre, Rob Oliphant, Member of Parliament for Don Valley West, and Julie Dzerowicz, Member of Parliament for Davenport.

As per its website, FedDev Ontario delivers programs and services to support innovation and economic growth in southern Ontario—Canada’s most populous region.

I think it’s awesome that the Canadian government is stepping up to support LGBTQ2+ tourism in Southern Ontario. Given recent discrimination issues, it’s vital to ensure inclusivity and safety. Let’s keep promoting respect and acceptance for all in the tourism industry!
