Campers can now reserve spaces at the Ferry Island Campground (British Columbia, Canada) starting today, March 15.
According to a report, the first day of camping at Terrace’s municipal campground is set for April 29, and people can book one of the 103 sites by contacting Shanon Young, caretaker, by e-mail at ferryisland@terrace.ca or by phone at 250-631-2716.
BC Parks is launching a new online reservation system for provincial parks on March 21. However, visitors can now preview sites and create an account at bcparks.ca.
This system will permit the reservation of campsites in the jurisdiction of provincial authorities, such as Furlong Bay Campground, which is located in Lakelse Lake Provincial Park.
Furlong Bay sites are available for booking between May 12 to September 6 for sites 1-81 and May 5 until September 25, 2022, for sites 82-156.
Meanwhile, Kleanza Creek Campground sites are available for reservations from May 5 to September 18, 2022.
The province has witnessed an influx of people interested in camping during the COVID-19 pandemic and anticipates that the demand will continue to grow.
As per BC Parks, the organization has increased the capacity of its website servers to handle higher internet traffic and used a two-month rolling to book reservations.
