Pathfinder Ventures Inc. revealed plans on Tuesday to develop a new luxury RV resort in Osoyoos, B.C. The upcoming project involves the creation of a 15-acre waterfront property, aiming to enhance the region’s appeal as a prime destination for RV enthusiasts.
The company has confirmed a lease agreement that paves the way for the construction of the Osoyoos Lake RV Resort. This development is set to feature approximately 120 RV sites. It is designed to cater to luxury RV users, offering a seasonal stay model that mimics a “cottage experience” in a contemporary resort setting.
Scheduled to begin pre-sales of new RVs and seasonally leased sites in the summer of 2024, Pathfinder’s project is on track to be fully operational for the 2025 season.
Joe Bleackley, CEO of Pathfinder, expressed his vision for the project, stating, “This is going to be one of the nicest and most spectacular RV resorts in B.C. when we are fully operational.”
The resort’s location on Osoyoos Lake positions it within one of Canada’s most scenic landscapes, ideal for outdoor hospitality. Bleackley added, “The property is stunning and perfect for providing outdoor hospitality as it’s situated directly on one of the most beautiful lakes in Canada.
The strategic move aligns with Pathfinder’s successful land-lease growth approach, which has previously shown robust economic benefits. This approach not only strengthens the company’s business model but also encourages sustainable development in the RV resort industry.
Pathfinder’s expansion into Osoyoos is part of a broader strategy to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the sector. The company remains optimistic about future growth, fueled by a solid mergers and acquisitions pipeline and the potential easing of interest rates, which is expected to stimulate market expansion in 2024.
For RV park and campground owners and operators, Pathfinder’s new project offers valuable insights into leveraging location and luxury amenities to attract a high-end market segment. The emphasis on creating a high-quality guest experience and the strategic use of land leases could serve as a model for other businesses in the industry.
This expansion reflects Pathfinder’s commitment to enhancing the RV camping and outdoor hospitality landscape in Canada. As the industry continues to evolve, the company’s innovative strategies and forward-thinking developments are expected to play a significant role in shaping the future of outdoor recreation.
