Meyer Distributing Canada has announced the opening of a new cross-dock facility in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This expansion aims to enhance the company’s logistics capabilities in the region, offering improved services to customers across the automotive, RV, and trailer industries.
The Abbotsford cross-dock, designed for efficient transfer of goods between vehicles with minimal storage time, will be directly linked to Meyer Distributing’s distribution hub in Hermiston, Oregon. This hub houses a large inventory of automotive accessories, crash and collision parts, 4×4 and off-road equipment, as well as RV and trailer components.
Meyer’s sales manager, Ben Johnson, stated, “Meyer is your source for RV, Towing, and Trailer parts in the Northwest including British Columbia and Alberta. We have a seasoned sales team ready to serve you and help your business close sales and grow.”
The expansion is expected to bring about improvements in logistics efficiency and cost-effectiveness for businesses in the region. Jeff Braun, CEO of Meyer Distributing, commented on the expansion.
“The Abbotsford Dock is an exciting expansion for Meyer. We are going to bring logistics to the table in British Columbia in a way that is going to save customers a lot of money. We will be covering Vancouver Island to Surrey to Kelowna, and this will help bring a lower landed cost and better competition to the British Columbia markets that haven’t had an effective alternative for a long time,” Braun explained in a press release.
Meyer Distributing also announced the addition of a new cross-dock facility in Roseburg, Oregon, which will enhance its distribution capabilities in the region. The new facility will be directly fed by Meyer’s Hermiston, OR distribution hub, which is known for its inventory of automotive accessories, 4×4/Off-Road, crash/collision, and RV parts.
According to Ben Johnson, Meyer’s RV, towing, and marine sales manager, the company continues to significantly expand its inventory in RV, towing, and marine parts within their Northwest Megahub.
Johnson encouraged customers to reach out to Meyer’s specialized sales teams for assistance, emphasizing the company’s readiness to meet various needs in the RV and marine markets.
