A few weeks ago, Spring Creek Caravan Park’s (Australia) owners submitted an application to Toowoomba Regional Council requesting an expansion of five additional cabins, four powered sites, and six self-maintained sites.
As per a report, the application was submitted by Wall Planning & Environmental Consulting on behalf of Barry Noel Diete and Kaylene Ann Diete.
The planned expansion will be situated on the same 10,750m² lot of land on the corner of the New England Highway and Spring Creek Road, where the caravan park lies.
Currently, there are 20 powered caravan parks sites, four cabins, an amenities block, a manager’s residence, and a shed at the park.
The new cabins will measure 7.6m by 3.3m constructed on-site and include an awning/carport.
The proposed site plan submitted in the application shows that five cabins will be built on the north-eastern end of the caravan park close to Spring Creek Road.
The four powered sites will be constructed on the eastern side bordering the New England Highway.
The six self-maintained sites will be positioned just south, with a new amenities block to be constructed in between the two.
The application says that the existing tourist park has been in operation for about 27 years.
