Renmark’s Riverbend Caravan Park has been a popular vacation spot since 1947, with many returning guests that continue to grow every year.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, Riverbend Caravan Park is adding three Premium Cabins and many more as part of their $1.1 million investment plan, according to a report.
Riverbend CEO and owner of the Edwards Group, Stephen Edwards, said that when planning the creation of Riverbend Caravan Park, he would like the standard of the accommodations and the experience for guests to reflect the grandeur of the park’s location.
“Riverbend Caravan Park is genuinely picturesque, surrounded by large Gum Trees, bushland, lagoons, wildlife, and undisrupted views of the river from both cabins and powered sites on the riverfront,” Edwards said.
“These new, three-bedroom Premium Cabins feature a personal deck 6 meters from the riverfront that ensure the guests have undisrupted views of the river, sleep up to 8 people with two bathrooms, have a large open living area and a spacious kitchen with functional bench space & storage, a full-size fridge, gas cooktop & a conventional oven, plus large glass doors framing the river-view before leading onto the deck with an eight-seater table and Weber Q for outdoor cooking and dining,” he added.
Edwards Group Division Manager-Parks, Ashlyn Guthrie said that initial reviews were positive.
“In a generation where travel choices are driven by aesthetics over price, accommodation expectations are higher,” Guthrie said, “Guests are showing a lot of interest in these Premium Cabins, proving them to be the right move for Riverbend Caravan Park so far.”
Many caravanners highly value and recognize traditional experiences, so Riverbend Caravan Park is expanding its Camp Kitchen and 31 new powered campsites.
