Go Camping, Paragliding, And Off-Roading In The Outskirts Of This City In Vietnam

Since September 28, Vietnam’s Hanoi city has allowed people to participate in outdoor sports and physical activities but must not gather more than 10 people and must ensure compliance with pandemic prevention regulations, a report said.

Adventure seekers can now enjoy the Vietnamese outdoors by going on adventures such as paragliding, camping, and off-roading.

Paragliding at Doi Bu (Nui Be village, Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi) has been attracting visitors recently. This place is about 35km from the center of Hanoi.

Dang Van My, paragliding instructor and founder of Mebayluon Paragliding said:  “Bui Hill from late autumn to winter, the reeds along with the hillside, bloom white to create a wild and poetic scene. The period from now to the end of December is the ideal place to go paragliding.”

The take-off location is on the 655m elevation with a forgiving terrain. There are flights of over 1500m in elevation here.

In Hanoi, there are numerous excellent camping spots, including Ham Lon mountain, Rom Village, Long Bien Longan Garden ideal for picnics.

It takes approximately one hour to get there from the city, and you can do it on a motorbike or a private vehicle.

There is a huge area of pine forest with greenery that stretches for miles. It’s this that provides peace and tranquility, perfect for those looking to be in close proximity to the natural world.

If you’re a fan of adventurous travel, like backpacking or mountain climbing, then Ham Lon mountain campsite is located in Nam Son commune, Soc Son. This is about 40 kilometers from the city’s center.

Off-roading is also a popular activity in Hanoi. The ATV motorcycle experience zone is situated inside the Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village of Vietnam (in Dong Mo tourist region, Son Tay, Hanoi). In the past, this was the site where off-road vehicle races were held, which attracted an enormous number of tourists and car owners inside and outside of the city.

Dong Mo Discovery is designed with two roads that have an overall length of 30km, which is divided into four stages. On the16-km trek through the forest, the visitors will be challenged by breathtaking curves in the lush green canopy of the forest, which requires drivers to be at the top of their speed.

People do not need a Covid-19 test certificate but need to make a medical declaration and have been vaccinated to visit these locations.
