Turkey’s Glamping Investors to be Issued Elementary Accommodation Certificates

Glamping proves to be an essential tourism alternative, not only across North America but also worldwide. In Turkey, a bill was formed to create a guideline for those who want to build glamping sites.

The law was introduced on July 28 last year, and works to implement the law are underway, Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy told a local report.

The law has a provision indicating that glamping sites should be “nature friendly.”

Furthermore, owners and operators may offer glamping tents on wooden platforms with no infrastructure.

Minister Ersoy recently said that the department would supply an “elementary accommodation certificate” to glamping investors.

Experts believe that glamping will continue to grow in the country.

In an interview with Hurriyet Daily News, a Turkish news provider, Oğuz Tokalak, the deputy head of the Turkey Camping and Caravanning Association, said that the number of caravans in the country “has risen fivefold.”

“Glamping sites or camping sites with luxurious tents are mostly of interest to the hotel owners,” Tokalak added.

Isn’t it cool how glamping is becoming big in Turkey? It’s awesome to see a move towards eco-friendly tourism. Do you think more countries should follow suit?
