Prairie Junction RV Resort in Stettler, Alberta, is expanding its accommodations with a new themed glamping development scheduled to open in Winter 2026, introducing nine distinct lodging concepts through its Prairie Haven Expansion project.
According to the resort, the expansion is being developed in partnership with Travel Alberta and represents the largest project undertaken by the property.
The new accommodations are designed to offer themed overnight stays while highlighting Alberta’s prairie landscape.
The Prairie Haven Expansion will add nine themed glamping units, each featuring a different destination-inspired concept.
According to an article published by The Daily Hive, the accommodations include The Aloha, The Turkish Delight, The Paris, The Little Italy, The Disco Inferno, The Wrangler, The Royal, The Outback and The Jungle Gym.
The new accommodations will range from luxury glass domes to themed covered wagons, with each unit designed to provide a distinct guest experience.
The themed concepts are intended to offer a variety of stay options while incorporating views of the surrounding prairie environment.
Guests will have access to experiences such as stargazing from bed, campfires beneath Alberta skies and themed settings designed for photography.
The accommodations are also intended to appeal to a range of travelers, including couples seeking romantic getaways and families looking for unique overnight experiences.
The expansion was announced through the resort’s Facebook page, where Prairie Junction RV Resort described the Prairie Haven Expansion as its most significant development to date.
The project is intended to strengthen the property’s tourism offerings and attract visitors looking for distinctive glamping accommodations in central Alberta.

A collection of unique themed glamping accommodations designed to transport guests around the world while experiencing the beauty of Alberta’s prairies,” the resort’s Facebook post indicates.
Located about two hours northeast of Calgary, the resort is positioning the new accommodations as an addition to its existing RV resort operations. The themed units are expected to broaden the property’s lodging options beyond traditional RV camping.
