The 12th edition of Camping & Caravaning Expo Sofia is scheduled to take place from April 24 to 26 at Sofia Land, located at bul. “Nikola Vaptsarov” 61.
Organized by the media outlet Camping.BG, the expo will feature new models of campers, caravans, leisure vehicles, camping and outdoor equipment, bicycles, water sports and fishing gear, accessories, and other innovations for outdoor living.
More than 70 exhibitors have confirmed participation, and organizers expect attendance to exceed last year’s 12,000 visitors.
The event is designed to accommodate families, including children and pets, and has established itself as a key spring event in the capital. The program will include presentations from travelers, technical advice for campers, and activities for children.
A dedicated “Green Zone” will provide short educational lectures on zero-waste camping and interactive eco workshops for children.
This year’s expo will also focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility in outdoor recreation. Under the motto “Adventures with care for nature,” the event aims to promote responsible camping, reduce waste in nature, minimize the carbon footprint of travel, and educate families and young people about sustainable tourism practices.
Camping.BG has supported these initiatives through an environmental certification for Bulgarian campsites, highlighting best practices in environmental management. The expo’s environmental efforts are conducted in partnership with the association “For the Earth.”
“Camping culture is not just a way of traveling – it is a way of thinking. We want to show that adventure and responsibility go hand in hand,” Veselin Valev, founder of Camping.BG and organizer of the expo, told ForTheNature.org.
Since its inception in 2018, Camping & Caravaning Expo Sofia has attracted more than 100,000 visitors from Bulgaria, neighboring countries, and other parts of Europe. The detailed schedule for the three-day event, including presentations, family activities, and exhibitor highlights, will be announced in advance.
