Jeremy and Alley Baldwin Take Ownership of Richmond KOA Holiday in Eastern Indiana

Jeremy and Alley Baldwin have acquired the Richmond KOA Holiday in eastern Indiana, marking their return to campground ownership and introducing new leadership to the property.

The couple previously owned the Decatur/Wheeler Lake KOA Holiday and brought extensive experience in hospitality, operations, and design.

Jeremy Baldwin, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, emphasizes leadership and service in the campground’s operations.

Alley Baldwin, a registered international architect and project manager, has worked on projects including the St. Regis Resort in Bermuda and the Prince of Dubai’s palace, contributing expertise in design and guest experience.

Located just outside Richmond, Indiana, the campground sits amid farmland near Interstate 70, providing access to Dayton, Ohio, and Indianapolis. The setting combines rural charm with convenience, offering a base for exploring antique trails, local wineries, and scenic byways.

“We definitely wanted a KOA, mainly due to the fantastic reservation software and support that comes with the brand,” Jeremy Baldwin said.

“Our next priority was finding a property close to a good hospital and a strong local school for our kiddo. Richmond checked every box, and we couldn’t be happier to call this community home,” Baldwin added.

Campgrounds like the Richmond KOA Holiday contribute to local economies and culture. KOA’s 2024 Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report found campers injected $61 billion into local economies, with an average daily spend of $200.

Twenty-seven percent of campers reported interest in visiting small towns, while another 27% were drawn to food tourism.

The Richmond KOA Holiday offers full-service RV sites with KOA Patios and deluxe cabins with full bathrooms.

Amenities include a stocked fishing pond, pool, playground, mini golf, and a new outdoor stage for movies, sporting events, and children’s performances.

Planned additions include an outdoor laser tag arena and a wine-tasting venue.

KOA Holiday campgrounds provide a family-friendly environment with weekend crafts, local fishing derbies, and community events that engage both guests and residents.

The Richmond location is one of more than 500 KOA campgrounds in the United States and Canada. KOA also operates KOA Journeys locations for travelers and KOA Resorts offering on-site activities, dining, and meeting space.
