The Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Texas) has announced that effective April 1, fees at Stillhouse Hollow Lake in Union Grove Park, Dana Peak Park, and Stillhouse Park will be increasing. The camping and day-use pavilion fees were last increased in 2014.
According to the announcement, 50-amp single campsites, which are currently priced at $24.00/night, will increase to $30.00/night, while 50-amp double campsites, currently priced at $40.00/night, will increase to $60.00/night.
The fees for 30-amp tent sites and primitive tent sites will also be increased, from $18.00/night and $12.00/night respectively to $24.00/night and $20.00/night.
Screen shelters and day-use pavilions will also see a price hike, with screen shelters increasing from $30.00/night to $40.00/night, and day-use pavilions from $70.00/day to $120/day.
Reservations for campsites and day-use pavilions can be made through the website www.recreation.gov.
Reservations made before April 1, 2023, will not be impacted by the price increase.
Officials emphasize that safety is their number one priority and encourage visitors who will be near or in the water to wear a life jacket.
