Students from the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) put their building skills to the test as they helped out at the construction of a Brown County campground, a report said.

They assisted in constructing 60 campsites in an upcoming campground located in the Brown County Reforestation Camp in Suamico, Wisconsin. The new campground will join two other campgrounds that Brown County Parks owns.

The campground has been in the planning stages since 1983, Brown County Parks Department Director Matt Kriese said.

“Campgrounds are not in this area of Brown County, and we have a high demand for campsites, and we have for many, many years,” he added.

Brown County hopes to have the campground finished by the end of next spring or summer.
