A bench warrant on Tuesday has been issued for a campground owner in Wisconsin‘s Shawano County after she didn’t appear for a court hearing for charges of evading and resisting police, a report said.

On May 15, cops tried to pull over Ann Retzlaff for beating the red light. However, she refused to stop. The woman was later taken into custody and charged with four counts. This includes recklessly endangering safety.

Retzlaff was scheduled to make her first appearance on October 5. However, she was ill, causing the case to be postponed until Tuesday with the requirement of a personal appearance.

According to court records, after failing to make an appearance for the second time, Judge William Kussel ordered a warrant for her arrest.

Retzlaff owns Annie’s Campground, near Gresham.

In the past, the campground owner was fined for illegal use of a telephone wherein she posed as a Shawano County sheriff’s deputy. Her campground was also under fire in 2020 for not following COVID-19 protocols.
