The Port of Anacortes is moving towards modernization and renovations in its RV Park located at Cap Sante Marina, a report said.

The port was approved of its conditional use permits from the City Council last week to begin constructing the park located at 611 T Avenue.

The renovation is expected to include landscaping, paving, improvements to stormwater, and new shower and laundry facilities.

The port is also planning to improve pedestrian walkways within the park and in Market Street.

Port of Anacortes Director of Planning, Properties and Environmental Brenda Treadwell said that construction will begin in the spring of 2022, subject to grants and weather-related permitting.

The port is moving towards 60% design now. It will need to receive more support from city officials then it will go out for bids.

The project is contingent on the funding source, Treadwell said.
