The Mineral Lake Lions Club in Mineral, Washington has shut down its lakeside camp, the Lions Den Campground, for the duration of the season, a report said.
This was following a spate of vandalism over the last few years. The club is planning to “refurbish and improve” the campsite and open it again next spring.
“Over the past few years, undesirable and illegal behavior of a few campers has required the Mineral Lake Lions Club to halt operations of the campground as of Sept. 19, 2021,” according to a recent statement of the organization.
The campground will undergo additional modifications. These changes will be announced to the recreationists when they’re made, according to the letter.
The campground is managed and owned by the Lions Club since its purchase from Sierra Pacific in 2017.
