Monument Marine Group (MMG), an investment firm based in Baltimore, has acquired Coles Point Marina to increase the footprint of its marine management, a report said.
MMG announced it would improve the property’s existing amenities as well as add new recreation offerings and accommodation.
MMG has selected Oasis Marinas to manage the operations of Coles Point Marina and RV Resort situated in Hague, Virginia.
Coles Point is a significant upgrade to the portfolio, thanks to its many resort amenities and campground complex.
“Coles Point is a perfect addition to our rapidly growing portfolio, bolstered by its Chesapeake location and expansive grounds. We look forward to the future of the property as we initiate capital plans to provide a best-in-class experience for current and new customers,” MMG said in a press release.
The marina and RV resort near the Potomac River, just two hours to the south of Washington, D.C., is a favorite spot among boaters, outdoor enthusiasts, and tourists alike. The property is set on 388 acres and offers 145 slips, both floating and fixed docks that can accommodate vessels up to 70 feet long, as well as 118 RV pads.
Coles Point Marina and RV Resort features a fuel dock, swimming pool, private beach, boat ramp, on-site restaurant, tiki bar, and health club. Visitors can also access the shower and laundry facilities, snack shop, boater’s lounge, as well as bait and tackle and boat service options. The campground provides guests with annual cottages for rent.
“We are thrilled to be running the operational management of this amazing property that has been a staple within the boater and camping community. Alongside Monument’s investment and stewardship, we look forward to delivering a remarkable experience,” said Oasis Marinas founder and CEO, Dan Cowens.
