RVers in Galveston have many choices for where to camp. Theboard manages Dellanera , which is found at the West End of the , just past the end of the seawall. It has 65 hookups and offers beachgoers day parking.
The facility has received a number of improvements that will please those who are heading to Dellanera over the next few weeks, a report said.
Theboard has been working on major over the past year. Staff constructed several Ultimate to enhance the customer experience. Ultimate provide additional lighting, group seating, and fire-pits.
The pavilion is also getting a major overhaul. The bathroom and laundry areas are being renovated and the community room will undergo a complete renovation. The pavilion’s deck has been updated with new counters, seating, and views of the beach. The new area for dog-walking is sure to be a hit with pets.
The Dellanera guest market is a significant one for both theand the board. They generate over $1 million annually for the board in a single year. Long-term often visit restaurants and attractions. Some even volunteer with local charities.
Kelly de Schaun (board CEO) stated that the board is committed to keeping the facilities maintained and updated for the enjoyment of visitors. “Some of the work at Dellanera was done by staff at significant savings. Their dedication and hard work are admirable.”
Later in the year, thefacility will also undergo to its beach. The board intends to improve the area and extend the beach.
This will not only increase beach space but will also provide storm-surge protection in this area, which is an important route for West End residents to evacuate from hurricanes.
