According to a report, Texas‘ Abilene Police Department was called to an RV fire on Thursday afternoon. This involved several power lines that were downed.

An unidentified alarm alerted the AFD around 4:15 p.m. to a possible blaze in the 4600 block of State Street. Fire crews on the move were able to see black smoke rising in the vicinity.

They found an RV that was engulfed in flames in an alleyway.

Several overhead lines, including one next to the gas meter, were affected.

Firefighters were able to put out the flame before it began spreading to other buildings.

The crews of gas, cable, and electric companies were called to inspect overhead lines within the area, the report said.

Officials said a person drove the vehicle to their residence, but it caught flames in the alleyway when they attempted to start the RV.

There were no injuries reported as per officials.
