A three-alarm fire ravaged a campground in South Carolina on Sunday, leaving one injured and 11 units damaged, as per authorities.

The fire took place at the Ocean Lakes Family Campground near Myrtle Beach, according to a local report.

In the report, Horry County Fire Rescue Chief Joseph Tanner said 11 units were damaged, while two have been destroyed. One person suffered minor injuries.

Tanner told reporters that three individuals were evacuated from two units and were aided by the American Red Cross.

Horry County Fire Rescue Spokesperson Tony Casey said the fire was called out in the early hours of 6:09 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The spokesperson stated that it was among the biggest fires in the past few weeks.

“We’ve had several structure fires over this cold spell, but this is probably the most serious one we’ve had,” Tanner told a local report.
