A couple who owns Lone Star BBQ restaurant in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, says they want to provide a place to stay for campers driving through the area looking for accommodation.
“There’s so many travelers that come through here, and there’s really not a whole lot of places for them to go,” said co-owner Cory Henderson.
According to a report, Cory and Rachael Henderson put $70,000 into constructing their camp.
“I think it’s gonna benefit a lot from I-95 with travelers. This could be a spot that if they’re going from New York to Miami, this could be their stop,” said Rachael.
The couple believes that a campsite would benefit travelers who have to wait for spots at Santee State Park campgrounds.
It will offer 18 sites to choose from and measure 30-by-30 feet each. Corey shared that the intention will be to complete the site by June.
