Investigators concluded that the fire was an accident and originated from an HVAC unit located on one of the campsites, as per a report.

About 70 first responders from various agencies were called to tend to the three-alarm fire.

The blaze damaged 11 units and totaled two.

One person sustained minor injuries as well as smoke inhalation due to the flame. However, there were no serious injuries.

According to its website, Ocean Lakes features 859 campsites and 2,572 annual lease sites on 310 oceanfront acres with nearly one mile of beachfront, five bathhouses, and more than 550 employees in the height of the camping season.
