There is good news for families who visit Trough Creek State Park Campground located in Huntingdon County (Pennsylvania) because a playground is finally being installed at the campground.
In the past two years, Friends of Trough Creek and Warriors Path State Parks raised around $10,000 to fund the project through the sale of firewood.
“Little children that come there with their parents to camp, they have nothing to do,” said Adam Watson, member of Friends of Trough Creek & Warriors Path State Parks.
“This would give them something to do.”
The playground will have a swing set, a frog spring rider, and a see-saw.
The group is seeking more volunteers for the playground’s installation. They are hoping to start working in spring.
