U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service has announced that a forest campground in Pennsylvania will be decommissioned.

Rob Fallon, Marienville District Ranger, signed the decision notice. The decision notice found no significant impact for the Beaver Meadows Campground Decommissioning Project.

Since 2010, the campground north of Marienville, Forest County has been closed. This decision will result in the complete decommissioning of the campground, but not the Beaver Meadows Day Use Area and hiking trails.

According to a Forest Service news release, the Beaver Meadows Campground Decommissioning Environmental Assessment considered all environmental effects, public comments, and inputs.
