Due to lower fire activity and relaxed evacuation procedures around Troy, the Oregon Department of  Fish and Wildlife (ODFW)  opened the Bartlett Bench section of Wenaha Wildlife Area as well as the headquarters campground, a report said.

Other areas of the wildlife area are still being impacted by fire activity, including the Griz Flats campground, Eden Bench, and the southern parts of Wenaha River.

These areas will be closed as a precaution for firefighter safety and public safety OAR 635-008 0050 (1)

ODFW and the U.S. Forest Service are closely monitoring fire conditions. As conditions improve, ODFW will reevaluate whether more closure is necessary, the report said.
